** Shares of consumer electrical company R R Kabel RRKA.NS surge 14.04%

** Stock rose as much as 18.3% to 1,211 rupees apiece earlier in the session

** Co posts 64% rise in fourth-quarter profit, buoyed by strong demand in its core wires and cables segment

** Favourable prices of copper, a key raw material and capacity expansion also aided profit growth in the March quarter, RRKA says

** About 3.8 million shares change hands, 15 times the 30-day average - data compiled by LSEG

** RRKA shares have lost 29% in 2025 so far compared to a 1% fall in the Nifty 500 index .NIFTY500, exchange data shows
