as 17.8% to A$1.990, their highest since June 1
    ** Co approves an on-market share buyback for up to 4 mln

    ** Says shares will be purchased at a price of not more than
5% above the 5-day volume weighted average price of RAC shares
    ** Shares mark their biggest intraday gain since May 31
    ** As of last close, stock down 53.1% this year
