- Notification of Major Interest in Shares
Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad
On 26 February 2015, Rank received notification, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FCA's Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules, from Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad ("Hong Leong Co.") that, as at 25 February 2015, Hong Leong Co. had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 219,120,221ordinary 138/9p shares representing 56.09% of the total voting rights in Rank.
Rank can now confirm that its free float is currently greater than the 25 per cent. threshold required under the Listing Rules.
Notes
The voting rights are held by Rank Assets Limited ("RAL"), Guoline Overseas Limited ("GOL") and Asian Financial Common Wealth (PTC) Limited ("AFCW") which hold 202,202,669, 15,830,300 and 1,087,252 shares respectively. AFCW is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Management Company Limited which is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Group Limited ("GGL"). RAL is a controlled undertaking of GGL which is a controlled undertaking of GOL. GOL is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Capital Assets Limited which is a controlled undertaking of Hong Leong Co.
