Oct 23 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.06%.
* WIZZ AIR HOLDINGS: Wizz Air Holdings WIZZ.L is in talks to defer about 100 Airbus SE AIR.PA aircraft deliveries into the next decade, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
* SHELL: Shell SHEL.L has applied to gain the right to appeal against the decision of a South African court to block exploration in the offshore block 5/6/7, a Shell spokesperson said on Wednesday.
* CRYPTO DONATIONS: British populist party Reform UK's leader Nigel Farage told Reuters on Wednesday the party had begun receiving crypto donations, but denied it was copying U.S. President Donald Trump's playbook as it seeks support from the digital asset industry.
* BOE: Bank of England Deputy Governor Sam Woods on Wednesday rejected calls from the banking industry to further relax rules on bank leverage, despite growing pressure from the government to reduce regulatory burdens to boost the UK's economic growth.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices jumped 3% on Thursday, extending gains from the previous session, gold prices edged lower, and Shanghai copper gained on bullish market expectations of China's new five-year plan.
* EX-DIVS: BAE Systems BAES.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out.
* FTSE: The UK blue-chip index .FTSE gained 1% on Wednesday. London stocks rose for a third straight day as investors ramped up bets on interest rate cuts from the Bank of England after data showed that inflation had unexpectedly held steady.
