Main negative for auto sector in 2027 will be raw materials costs, says Renault CEO PARIS, July 30 (Reuters) - Higher raw materials costs will be the main negative item for the auto industry in 2027, said Renault CEO François Provost on Thursday.
"In my view, based on what we have organised for 2027, raw materials is the main offender," Provost told reporters, after Renault posted interim results which showed a rise in revenues but a net profit that came in below consensus forecasts.
Renault added it expected to have a raw materials inflationary impact of 400 million euros ($457.5 million) in the second half of the year.
