** Shares of The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited TRIG.L down 6.33% at 69.65p

** HICL & TRIG say, they abandoned plans for proposed merger

** HICL Board determines, cannot progress transaction without substantial majority of support from its own investors

** TRIG says, regrets that investors will not have opportunity to vote on proposed combination

** Including session's moves, HICL stock down ~0.53% YTD, & TRIG down ~19.23% YTD
