** European defence stocks rise as German Green co-leader says hopeful of defense deal this week, one trader says

** European aerospace and defence stocks .SXPARO rise 1.3%

** Shares in Germany's Renk R3NK.DE, Rheinmetall RHMG.DE and Hensoldt HAGG.DE rise 1.5%, 4.4% and 7.4%, respectively

** Norway's Kongsberg KOG.OL, Italy's Leonardo LDOF.MI and Sweden's SAAB SAABb.ST are up between 3% and 4.9%

** Rheinmetall and Hensoldt top Germany's blue-chip .GDAXI and mid-cap .MDAXI indexes, respectively
