Reviva rises on positive lung disease treatment data in animal study

** Shares of drug developer Reviva Pharmaceuticals Holdings
Inc  RVPH.O  up 5.3% at $6.8 premarket 
    ** Co reports positive preclinical efficacy data for its    
lead clinical drug candidate in an animal model to treat
idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)
    ** The experimental treatment improved survival and lung
function, and reduced lung fibrosis and inflammation in a rat
model induced with a medication called, bleomycin - company 
    ** Co adds the drug also showed promising efficacy in
treating a rare disorder affecting blood vessels in the lungs
and heart, in animal models 
    ** RVPH intends to develop the drug for pulmonary
indications  
    ** Co is already testing the lead candidate in late-stage
trials to treat schizophrenia, a chronic, severe mental disorder
    ** Up to Wednesday's close, stock up 50.8% YTD
