Aug 22 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Friday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.03%.
* REVOLUTION BEAUTY: Revolution Beauty REVB.L has terminated its formal sale process and named co-founder Tom Allsworth as its CEO, the cosmetics group said on Friday.
* BP: BP's BP.L 440,000-bpd refinery in Whiting, Indiana, continued to flare after flooding disrupted its operations earlier this week, the company said.
* LIBERTY STEEL: The British government said it will take control of a part of Liberty Steel, owned by commodities tycoon Sanjeev Gupta, after the business was placed into liquidation following a petition from its creditors on Thursday.
* GLENCORE: Glencore GLEN.L will aim to produce nearly 1 million tons of copper annually at its planned El Pachon and Agua Rica projects in Argentina over the next 10 to 15 years, the company's CEO in the Latin American country said.
* CONSUMERS: British consumers have turned a bit more confident this month after the latest interest rate cut by the Bank of England but are vulnerable to worries about rising inflation and potential tax increases, a survey showed.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices were little changed, gold prices edged lower and aluminium prices rose for a second straight session on Friday.
