** Jewelry insurer Jewelers Mutual Group announced on Thursday that it has acquired EventGuard, a program specializing in event insurance coverage in the event and wedding space, from Indemn.nL6N3YA09Q

 ** Aon has acquired an insurance broker license in Japan and established a new corporate broking division within Aon Solutions Japan, the company announced on Wednesday.nL6N3YA0CX

** Rio Tinto  is in early talks to buy Glencore , the companies said, in what could create the world's largest mining company with a combined market value of nearly $207 billion.nL1N3YA033

** Merck  is in talks to buy cancer drug developer Revolution Medicines  in a $28 billion to $32 billion deal, the Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing a person familiar with the matter.nL4N3Y91GK
