U.S. stock index futures retreated on Friday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq
pulling back after consecutive record highs as investors weighed hawkish Federal
Reserve projections against the backdrop of a cooling economy.  .N 
    
    At 8:39 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were down 0.68% at 38,415. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were down 0.41% at 5,416.25, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were down
0.18% at 19,567.25.
