Australian miners hit one-week high on firmer iron ore

** Australian miners .AXMM rise as much as 1.7% to 8,284.7 points, highest since April 8

** Sub-index last up 1.3%; set for best day since April 8

** Iron ore prices climbed overnight supported by surging oil, higher feedstock demand IRONORE/

** Iperionx IPX.AX, ASX-listed shares of Capstone Copper CSC.AX added 11.2% and 6.2%, respectively, leading gains on AXMM

** Heavyweights Rio Tinto RIO.AX, BHP Group BHP.AX, Fortescue FMG.AX advanced 1%-3%

** YTD, AXMM up 11.5%
