UK Stocks-Factors to watch on June 23

    June 23 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.8%.
* RIO TINTO: BHP BHP.AX and Rio Tinto RIO.AX, RIO.L said they are testing Caterpillar's CAT.N battery-electric haul trucks at BHP's Jimblebar iron ore mine in Western Australia.
* BP: Gas station operators including BP BP.L, Circle K ATD.TO, Marathon Petroleum MPC.N, 7-Eleven 3382.T, Walmart WMT.O, and Albertsons ACI.N were sued by California drivers who accused them of using AI to boost prices at the pump.
* EASYJET: EasyJet EZJ.L and its investors are holding out for at least £600 million more from U.S. suitor Castlelake, the Financial Times reported, citing shareholders and people with knowledge of the talks. 
* SOCIAL MEDIA: Britain is considering forcing social media companies to prioritise trusted news sources as part of its broader push to tighten regulation of the sector.
* OIL: Oil prices inched down, extending losses from the previous session, as investors looked for clearer signs of progress in restoring crude flows through the Strait of Hormuz following U.S.-Iran peace talks.
* METALS: Copper fell on worries of potential growth headwinds from a Federal Reserve interest rate hike after the closely watched U.S.-Iran talks concluded.
* GOLD: Gold prices fell over 1%, pressured by a firmer U.S. dollar on expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike this year, while investors assessed U.S.-Iran peace talks.
* FTSE: UK's FTSE 100 closed higher on Monday, with bank stocks leading the way as investors monitored developments in the Middle East peace talks while also pondering the implications of Prime Minister Keir Starmer's resignation.
