    ENERGY
    Italy's regulated household electricity prices will fall by
55.3% in the second quarter of 2023, Italy's energy authority
ARERA said in a statement on Thursday.
    
    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases January industry sales data (0800 GMT) and
March CPI flash data (0900 GMT).
    
    COMPANIES
    UNICREDIT  CRDI.MI 
    Annual and extraordinary shareholders' meetings (0800 GMT)
in Milan.
    
    POSTE ITALIANE  PST.MI 
    The Italian postal service provider drew an extra 4 billion
euros into its savings products in the first quarter versus a
year earlier, it said on Thursday, flows that could reduce the
need to tap in to its government bond portfolio at a loss.
        
    INSURERS
    Italy's Industry minister has put ailing life insurer
Eurovita under special administration, the country's insurance
regulator said on Thursday.
    People familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday
that the Italian authorities are close to clinching a deal
financed by insurers and banks including market leader Intesa
Sanpaolo  ISP.MI  to rescue Eurovita.
    
    M&A - ITA AIRWAYS
    Further progress has been made towards a partnership between
Germany's Lufthansa  LHAG.DE  and state-owned ITA Airways,
Italy's economy ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

    Rome, event "Research and innovation for the space
challenge: what prospects for the Italian and European
