U.S. stocks edged higher on Tuesday, with General Electric  GE.N  and technology
stocks helping Wall Street recoup some losses from a day earlier on escalating
global trade tensions.  .N 
    At 11:39 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.19 percent at
24,298.57. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.20 percent at 2,722.51 and the Nasdaq
