Roots up after Q3 sales, profit rises

** Toronto-listed shares of Outdoor apparel company Roots
 ROOT.TO  jump ~12% to C$2.29 
    ** Co's Q3 sales rise 5.3% to C$66.9 million ($47.25
million) from a year earlier
    ** Co's Q3 net income rises to C$2.4 mln, or 6 Canadian
cents per share, compared to C$0.5 mln, or 1 Canadian cent/share
    ** "Although we are still early in the fourth quarter, our
trends remain strong, and we are focused on continuing to drive
momentum throughout the remainder of the holiday season," says
CEO Meghan Roach
    ** YTD ROOT has fallen 8%, including session's moves
