Royal Bank of Canada's quarterly profit rises on trading boost May 28 (Reuters) - Royal Bank of Canada RY.TO reported a rise in second-quarter profit on Thursday, helped by an increase in trading income during a volatile period and higher interest earnings.
The lender reported a net income of C$5.51 billion ($3.98 billion), or C$3.85 per share, in the three months ended April 30, compared with C$4.39 billion, or C$3.02 per share, a year earlier.
