UK's RUA Life Sciences surges on smaller HY loss

** Shares of UK-based holding company RUA Life Sciences
 RUA.L  up as much as 20.6% at 39.8p 
    ** H1 pre-tax loss narrows to 1.1 mln pounds ($1.4 mln) vs

    ** RUA says H1 revenue up 56% to 1.1 mln pounds as co made
good progress across four business segments 
    ** Contract Manufacturing business outperformed co's
expectations by delivering sales increases of 66% at improved
margins in HY 
    ** Adds that RUA is seeing increased commercial
opportunities within Contract Manufacturing segment
    ** Including session gains, stock has fallen ~47% YTD 
($1 = 0.8151 pounds)
