August 24 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq slipped on Monday as investors weighed the potential fallout from the U.S. pledge of an "economic D-Day" against Iran while awaiting AI giant Nvidia's results and a key inflation report later this week. .N
     
At  11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.29% at 53,433.87. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.25% at 7,655.35, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.48% at 26,055.38.
