** Restaurant chain operator's shares  RUTH.O  up ~3.4% at
$20.16 in afternoon trade 
    ** RUTH Q1 reports net income of 31 cents per share vs 26

    ** Co says it is managing challenges and is well-positioned
to deliver growth this year 
    ** RUTH reports Q1 restaurant sales of $118.7 million
compared to $81.6 million last year 
    ** However, co saw a 32.5% jump in food and beverage costs
during the quarter in the backdrop of decades-high inflation  
    ** Including session gain, shares up ~1.3% YTD
