German stocks - Factors to watch on October 8

BERLIN/FRANKFURT, Oct 8 (Reuters) - The following are some
of the factors that may move German stocks on Tuesday:

    Thyssenkrupp is slashing some administrative jobs to cut
down on the more than 2 billion euros of costs it incurs in that
field each year, two people familiar with the matter told

    German real estate lender Aareal said on Monday it had
embarked on a strategic review following calls from an activist
investor to consider the sale of its software unit Aareon.

    Unlisted Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg plans to reduce its
current net exposure to the automotive sector of 12.6 billion
euros in the long term by around 5-10%, board member Karl
Manfred Lochner said in an interview with Boersenzeitung.

    Chief Executive Stefan Oschmann said he assumed that Merck's
pharma unit could achieve 2 billion euros of additional turnover
up to 2022 purely with new drugs. It was an ambitious goal, he
