Safehold announces business combination with iStar, shares up

** Shares of Safehold Inc  SAFE.N  up 1.8% at $44.23 in
afternoon trading
    ** SAFE and iStar Inc  STAR.N  said that the two cos have
entered into an agreement for business combination
    ** SAFE will internalize STAR's management team and
intellectual property
    ** Shares of STAR down nearly 7%
    ** STAR down ~39% YTD, while SAFE fell ~45%
