POLITICS
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday replaced the
country's sherpa for the Group of Seven (G7) with the head of
the secret service, according to a statement, in an unexpected
move just three months ahead of the leaders' summit in Italy.
ECONOMY
Italy is finalising the terms of a state-backed deal with
semiconductor firm Silicon Box, worth around 3 billion euros,
($3.3 billion) to build an industrial site in the country, a
source familiar with the matter said on Friday.
Bank of Italy releases January data on Italian residents
deposits with domestic banks, banks lending to non-financial
companies and gross bad loans at Italian banks.
DEBT
Italy Treasury will sell up to 8.5 bln eurosin BTP bonds at
auction on March 13.
COMPANIES
TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
The phone group will disclose more details over the expected
trajectory of its debt and cash flows, two sources said on
Sunday, after the company's board discussed last week's share
price plunge following a strategy day.
ENEL ENEI.MI /A2A A2.MI
Italy's largest regional power utility A2A has signed a
1.2-billion euro agreement with Enel subsidiary e-distribuzione
to boost electricity distribution networks in Lombardy, the
companies said on Saturday.
Asked how the company will finance the deal, A2A Chief
Executive Renato Mazzoncini said the group would "consider all
options that will allow us to maintain the current ratings,
without reducing investments in other businesses," in an
interview with Il Sole 24 Ore published on Sunday.

SAFILO SFLG.MI
Gucci-owner Kering PRTP.PA and Ray-Ban parent
EssilorLuxottica ESLX.PA are among the suitors for Italian
eyewear manufacturer Marcolin, the Financial Times reported on
Saturday. Milan-listed Safilo had also looked at the company but
views it as an "opportunistic add-on" and is the least likely
buyer, the report added.
EDISON EDNn.MI
The Italian utility on Friday asked U.S. energy regulators
to reject Venture Global LNG's request for a one-year
construction permit extension to its Louisiana export plant. It
also asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to compel
Venture Global to release commissioning documents to justify the
extension request.
JUVENTUS FC JUVE.MI
The club were held to a 2-2 draw by Atalanta in Serie A at
the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, as goals from Andrea Cambiaso and
Arkadiusz Milik were cancelled out by a brace from the visitors'
Teun Koopmeiners.

GAMING SECTOR
Italy will approve on Monday a decree which will, among
several other measures regulating the gaming sector, set the
terms for the tender for the concession of the national Lotto
game, a draft seen by Reuters shows. Rome expects to raise more
than 1 billion euros from the concession, which it will pocket
between 2025 and 2026. The current concession, due to expire
next year, is currently held by International Game Technology
(IGT) IGT.N .
M&A
The special commissioners running Piaggio Aerospace, a maker
of planes and drones which filed for protection from creditors
in late 2018, are examining seven different offers to relaunch
the company, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso wrote on X on
Saturday.
IPO
After reducing its debt, moving away from the phone book
business and returning to growth, Italiaonline, controlled by
Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris, is examining a listing on
the Milan Bourse, la Repubblica reported on Sunday.
