POLITICS
Ukraine agreed to accept an immediate 30-day ceasefire in the conflict with Russia during talks with U.S. officials in Saudi Arabia. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he would take the offer to the Russians, putting the ball in their court.
(*) The European Commission on Tuesday proposed that member countries be allowed to set up centres in non-EU countries where migrants whose asylum claims were rejected would await deportation.

The Italian defence and aerospace group on Tuesday lifted its guidance for the next four years as it continues to look at international alliances and cooperation to boost growth. Chief Executive Roberto Cingolani said a buyback programme was possible during the 2025-2029 period and said a solution for the loss-making aerostructures unit would be defined by end-2025.
BANCO BPM BAMI.MI, ANIMA ANIM.MI
The bank said on Tuesday it had received all legal authorisations for its offer to buy fund manager Anima, after obtaining clearance from the European Commission and Italy's insurance regulator Ivass.
STELLANTIS STLAM.MI
Milan-listed shares fell by 5.22% on Tuesday, mirroring falls for other U.S. automakers, after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to "substantially increase" tariffs on car imports.
SAIPEM SPMI.MI
The board on Tuesday proposed a dividend of 0.17 euros per ordinary share and 5 euros per savings share.
ITALGAS IG.MI
The board of the gas distributor on Tuesday called a shareholders' meeting on April 10 to approve a share capital increase of up to 1.02 billion euros, as part its acquisition of rival 2i Rete Gas.
BANCA POPOLARE DI SONDRIO BPSI.MI
(*) The lender on Wednesday set ambitious goals for profits and shareholder rewards through 2027, as it seeks to fend off an unsolicited bid from bigger rival BPER Banca EMII.MI.
The bank said it would return to shareholders 1.5 billion euros ($1.64 billion) in the 2025-2027 period, doubling the payout of the last three years.

The eyewear maker said on Tuesday its FY adjusted Ebitda had risen by 1.1% to 93 million euros, with an improved Ebitda margin of 9.4% from 9% in the previous year, despite a fall in net sales. The board proposed a buyback programme worth up to 15 million shares, worth around 3.6% of the share capital.

(*) The renewable energy company trimmed its 2026 guidance late on Tuesday, citing a longer approval time for a sector-wide incentive law and a more cautious approach in the U.S. as it evaluates the new administration's green energy policy.
(*) It said it will return 1.15 euro per share to shareholders, made up a 1 euro dividend and 0.15 euro per share in a 23 million euro buyback programme between November 2024 and January 2025.
