POLITICS
The Italian government plans talks with restaurant owners in
order to control prices and help large families to eat out, a
government document seen by Reuters showed.
Controls at the border between Italy and Slovenia will
continue this month, Rome's parliament minister said on
Thursday, and the government could decide to further extend
their duration.
ECONOMY
ISTAT releases September unemployment rate data (0900 GMT).
Italy posted a state sector budget deficit of 4.5 billion
euros in October compared to a shortfall of 11.1 billion euros
in the same month last year, the Treasury said on Thursday.
COMPANIES
FERRARI RACE.MI
Ferrari's order books are bulging all the way into 2025 when
it plans to launch its first fully electric vehicle, the luxury
sports car maker said on Thursday, as it raised its earnings
forecast for this year.
TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI
Initial board meeting to review a binding bid tabled by U.S.
fund KKR KKR.N for the former phone monopoly's fixed-line
network assets. A second meeting is scheduled for Sunday.
The sale of TIM's domestic retail operations and Brazilian
unit could raise at least 16 billion euros, a former senior
executive of the phone group who is advocating a rival strategy
said in an interview published on Thursday.
INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI
Board meeting on Q3 results, followed by conference call

Italy's antitrust authority said on Thursday it had opened a
probe into the way Intesa Sanpaolo had started shifting
thousands of customers to its new mobile-only service Isybank.

Italian car sales rose 20% year on year in October.
Stellantis held 31.7% Italy car market share in the month.
