Safilo jumps on smart glasses partnership with Amazon

** Shares in Safilo  SFLG.MI  rise 3.4%, paring earlier
gains of as much as 8.1%, after the Italian eyewear group and
Amazon  AMZN.O  said they were launching new Carrera-branded
smart glasses 
    ** Companies say in a joint statement the new glasses will
employ Alexa technology and will be sold in the U.S.
    ** Equita's analysts say the deal shows Safilo's ambition to
stay abreast of consumer preferences and tech developments 
    ** With about 1.1 million shares having traded so far, the
volumes are at about 162.1% of their 30-day moving average
