Jan 30 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.14%.
* ASDA: British supermarket group Asda launched a major
round of price cuts, with "a significant investment" its new
boss hopes will kick start a recovery for the current industry
laggard.
* VODAFONE: Vodafone VOD.L said it had made the world's
first video call via satellite using a standard smartphone from
a remote location, and it plans to roll out the technology for
its users across Europe later this year and in 2026.
* SAGA: Britain's Saga SAGA.L is likely to announce a deal
to help the holiday group refinance more than 450 million pounds
($559.4 million) of its existing debt on Thursday, Sky News
reported on Wednesday.
* METRO BANK: Britain's Metro Bank MTRO.L said it was in
early discussions about a potential sale of its performing
consumer loan portfolio.
* OIL: Oil prices were little changed on Thursday.
* GOLD: Gold traded in a relatively narrow price range.
* METALS: London aluminium edged higher.
* EX-DIVS: Pennon PNN.L , IG Group IGG.L , SSP SSPG.L ,
On The Beach OTB.L , Hollywood Bowl BOWL.L , CQS Natural
Resources Growth And Income CYNL.L and Edinburgh Investment
Trust EDIN.L will trade without entitlement to its latest
dividend pay-out on Thursday.
* FTSE 100: The UK's main stock indexes closed higher on
Wednesday boosted by gains in the technology and financial
sectors.
