Jan 30 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening flat on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.02%.
* SHELL: Shell SHEL.L reported a smaller fourth-quarter
profit, as the oil major took a hit from lower refining margins
and lower liquefied natural gas (LNG) trading, and said it would
buy back shares worth $3.5 billion.
* BT: BT BT.L , Britain's biggest mobile and broadband
operator, said it added a record 472,000 connections to its
growing fibre network in its third quarter.
* WIZZ AIR: European low-cost airline Wizz Air WIZZ.L cut
its annual net income forecast for the second time in six
months.
* GLENCORE: Glencore GLEN.L reported lower copper, cobalt,
zinc, nickel and thermal coal production in 2024, in line with
guidance.
* ROYAL MAIL: Britain's Ofcom has proposed changes to Royal
Mail's obligations including so-called second-class letters
delivered on alternate weekdays instead of Saturdays.
* SAGE: Britain's Sage Group SGE.L maintained its
full-year forecasts after the software firm posted a 10% growth
in underlying revenue for the first quarter.
* MULBERRY: UK luxury brand Mulberry Group MUL.L unveiled
a plan to return to profitability.
* ST JAMES'S PLACE: British wealth manager St James's Place
SJP.L reported better-than-expected managed funds for 2024.
* FEVERTREE: Coors Light beer maker Molson Coors TAP.N
will take a 8.5% stake in UK's Fevertree Drinks FEVR.L for 71
million pounds.
* SAGA: British over-50s holiday and insurance group Saga
SAGA.L forecast a marginal rise in profit on a like-for-like
basis for the year ending Jan. 31.
* SMMT: Britain's vehicle production dropped nearly 12% to
below one million units in 2024, data showed.
* EX-DIVS: Pennon PNN.L , IG Group IGG.L and SSP SSPG.L
will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out.
