Ferragamo rises on delisting speculations, family reiterates commitment

** Shares in Italian luxury group Salvatore Ferragamo SFER.MI rise as much as 8.6% driven by rumours on possible extraordinary moves, such as a delisting, after months of declines for the stock price, according to Milan-based traders

** A Milan-based trader says that the low price of the stock could attract some interest or, more likely, support the reasons for delisting

** "The (Ferragamo) family has already clearly stated in the past that it is not interested in any extraordinary transactions involving the company and reiterates this today," the group told Reuters on Friday

** Extraordinary transactions usually refers to non-recurring, atypical operations, including merger and acquisitions or take-private deals

** At 1349 GMT, shares are up 7.3%, trading at the highest level since June

** Including Friday's rise, the stock has dropped by 18.3% YTD

** On October 23, the company will release Q3 sales figures, which according to Intesa Sanpaolo's forecasts, will show a 4.3% year-on-year decline (-7.9% for the first nine months)
