HELSINKI, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Finnish insurance group Sampo
SAMPO.HE on Thursday said it is considering listing its shares
in Stockholm in addition to Helsinki.
"A Stockholm listing could increase demand for Sampo shares
and improve trading volumes over time and hence benefit all
shareholders," Chairman Bjorn Wahlroos said in a statement.
Sampo expects to make a decision on whether to do the dual
listing by end of 2022, the company said in a statement, adding
that this would not impact the total number of shares.
Wahlroos said Sampo's initial analysis had shown high demand
for an insurance group listing in Stockholm.
In just over a year Sampo has sold its stake in Finnish
Nordea bank after announcing in February 2021 a strategic shift
to focus on the insurance business.
