Charitable Contribution

 

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") on July
28, 2022, announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the following
charitable contribution.

Donation to the Inter-University Semiconductor Research Center at Seoul
National University

-    SEC will donate KRW 5 billion to the Seoul National University
Foundation in September 2022 to support operating costs for the
Inter-University Semiconductor Research Center at Seoul National University
(the "Research Center"). The donated funds will be used by the Research Center
to strengthen its infrastructure for educational equipment and to employ
researchers.
