NZ's Sanford gains most in nearly 4 years on upbeat annual results

** Shares of Sanford SAN.NZ rise 6% to NZ$4.06, set for
their best trading session since mid-Dec 2021
** Stock hits highest since Aug. 29
** Aquaculture farming business posts annual net profit
after tax (NPAT) of NZ$19.7 mln ($11.52 mln), up 96% from NZ$10
mln last year
** Says strong demand in co's mussel division as well as
stable market pricing and reduced overhead costs have propelled
profit growth
** More than 88,800 shares change hands, 4.1 times the
30-day avg of about 21,000 shares
** SAN up 0.25% YTD, including current session's moves
($1 = 1.7106 New Zealand dollars)
