Freeline's genetic disorder therapy development pause keeps Sangamo ahead - Truist

** Sangamo Therapeutics Inc SGMO.O "maintains leadership
position" in gene therapy program for Fabry disease, an
inherited disorder, as Freeline Therapeutics Holdings FRLN.O
decides to pause the development of its candidate, FLT190 -
Brokerage Truist Securities
** Sangamo said last year its gene therapy candidate,
ST-920, was being tested in an early-to mid-stage study
** Freeline says it is prioritizing development of another
gene therapy, FLT201, for Gaucher disease and plans to cut its
workforce by ~30%
** SGMO shares down ~47% YTD, while FRLN down ~1% this year
