POLITICS
Italy plans to propose to its European partners a guarantee scheme that could potentially trigger investments worth up to 200 billion euros in the defence and aerospace industries, people familiar with the matter said.
DEBT
The Italian Treasury said on Tuesday it would sell 8.5 billion euros of bonds on March 13, including a new 3-year BTP.

Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone, a leading investor in the Italian insurer, aims to name up to six of its directors but stop short of proposing a new candidate for the chief executive role as part of a new board, two sources said on Monday.
