US FDA advisers vote in favor of recommending COVID vaccines target XFG variant May 28 (Reuters) - The U.S. FDA's advisory panel on Thursday voted in favor of recommending that COVID-19 vaccines for the 2026-2027 immunization campaign should target the dominant JN.1 lineage XFG variant.
Eight out of nine panel members voted in favor of the recommendation, while one abstained.
