Australia's Santos posts 22% fall in half-yearly profit Aug 19 (Reuters) - Australia's Santos STO.AX posted a 22% fall in its first-half underlying profit on Wednesday as commissioning and technical challenges at the Barossa and Pikka projects delayed a ramp-up in production.
The country's second-largest gas producer posted an underlying profit of $397 million for the six-month period, below the $508 million a year earlier, but beating the Visible Alpha consensus estimate of $337.13 million.
