** Australian energy stocks .AXEJ gain as much as 2.9%, their highest level since June 15
** Brent crude surpassed $90 a barrel, as the U.S. and Iran expanded attacks in the Middle East O/R
** Sector majors Santos STO.AX and Woodside Energy WDS.AX rise 1.7% and 2.2%, respectively
** Sub-index up 21.5%, YTD
