** Australian energy stocks .AXEJ rise 2.1% to their highest since June 4
** The sub-index has gained 7% so far this week, set for its best week since the week ended March 6
** Oil prices ended above $100 per barrel overnight for the first time since May as Houthis said they attacked two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea O/R
** Sector majors Santos STO.AX and Woodside WDS.AX advance 2.9% and 2.5%, respectively
** AXEJ up 27.4% YTD
