** Oil prices climbed as much as 3% after Iran expanded strikes on Gulf states following attacks by the U.S., threatening energy shipments via the Strait of Hormuz O/R
** Sector majors Santos STO.AX and Woodside Energy WDS.AX gain 0.3% and 0.8%, respectively
** Sub-index up 17.2% YTD
