    A U.S. district court upheld the validity of a patent for
Swiss drugmaker Novartis'  NOVN.S  top-selling multiple
sclerosis (MS) drug Gilenya, helping Novartis protect its

    COMPANY STATEMENTS

loss (EBIT) OF -3.6 million Sfr in the first half of the year.
