Cowen sees market potential in scPharmaceuticals heart failure therapy

** Shares of scPharmaceuticals Inc  SCPH.O  up 4.3% at $7.7
    ** Cowen and Co initiates coverage with "outperform" rating
and $25 PT 
    ** Brokerage sees market potential for SCPH's heart failure
(HF) disease therapy Furoscix, citing the 7.2 mln HF patients in
the United States
    ** Furoscix, delivered via an on-body infusor, treats
congestion of heart due to fluid overload among HF patients - Co
    ** Sees therapy eventually exceeding $500 mln in peak sales,
mentioning yearly recorded 4 mln acute heart failure events, a
majority of which are caused by fluid overload  
    ** HF patients ineffective to oral medications will likely
benefit from Furoscix administered at home, given the known
efficacy, safety and tolerability profile - Cowen
    ** FDA approved the therapy in October, after the U.S.
health regulator rejected it twice  
    ** Heart failure is a long-term condition in which the heart
cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs all the time
