July 29 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes dropped on Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's monetary policy verdict against the backdrop of an 8% jump in oil prices, while chip stocks remained under pressure ahead of Big Tech earnings.  .N
     
At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 1.42% at 51,998.13. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.66% at 7,380.00, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.72% at 24,698.48.
