SELLAS rises on FDA's 'orphan' tag for blood cancer drug

** Shares of drug developer SELLAS Life Sciences Group Inc
 SLS.O  rise 7.75% to $1.53 after the bell
    ** Co says U.S. FDA has granted "orphan drug" designation
for SLS009, its treatment of a type of blood and bone marrow
cancer
    ** The drug is currently in mid-stage trials in patients
with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia
    ** Orphan drug status is given to drugs that treat rare
conditions, and are protected through a series of government
incentives once in market
    ** Stock down ~40% YTD
