U.S. stock index futures dropped sharply on Wednesday after the United States
threatened tariffs on an additional $200 billion worth of Chinese goods,
dampening hopes of a compromise on trade.  .N 
    At 7:17 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were down 0.81 percent at 24,725. S&P 500
e-minis  ESc1  were down 0.65 percent at 2,778.5, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis
 NQc1  were down 0.75 percent at 7,246.75.
