Wall Street's main indexes rose about 1% on Wednesday, as upbeat earnings from
retailers Lowe's and Target reinforced confidence in consumer demand, while
investors awaited the release of the Fed minutes for further clues on the path
of interest rate cuts. .N
At 12:31 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.02% at
26,228.24. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.82% at 2,924.25 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 0.94% at 8,023.448.
