Natgas companies gain on rising LNG, power demand forecasts

** Shares of U.S. natural gas companies up, tracking a rise in natgas futures NGA/

** U.S. natgas futures NGc1 up 2.4% at $3.83 per million British thermal units, putting the contract on track for its highest close since May 9

** Natural gas prices edge up on expectations that the demand for the fuel will soar in July as flows to both liquefied natural gas export plants and power generators increase

** The weather is forecast to remain hotter than normal through early July, which should boost the amount of gas electric generators burn to keep air conditioners humming

** Shares of natgas companies: Cheniere Energy LNG.N up 1.4%, EQT Corp EQT.N rises ~1%, Energy Transfer ET.N and Williams Companies WMB.N both gain marginally

** NextDecade NEXT.O and Sempra SRE.N each up marginally

** ETFs — United States Natural Gas Fund UNG.P and ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas BOIL.P up 2.6% and 4.7%, respectively
