China's SenseTime hits 8-week peak ahead of launch of SenseNova 5.5

** Shares of Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) software
provider SenseTime Group Inc  0020.HK  jump 17.4% to HK$1.62,
their highest since May 8, and on course for second session of
gains
    ** Stock last up 14.5%, on track for the biggest one-day pct
rise since May 2, if trend holds
    ** Top pct gainer on Hang Seng Index  .HSI , Hang Seng Tech
Index  .HSTECH  and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index  .HSCE  
    ** SenseTime said it would announce launch of "SenseNova
5.5" version - an upgraded cloud edge device, in its SenseTime
AI Forum to be held in Shanghai on July 5
    ** In the event, co will also sign cooperation deals to
accelerate implementation of generative AI - SenseTime 
    ** Hang Seng Tech Index  .HSTECH  jumps 2.3%, Hang Seng
China Enterprises Index  .HSCE  rises 1.3% and Hang Seng Index
 .HSI  adds 1.2%
    ** Stock up 36.2% YTD
