India's Shriram EPC gains on strong March-qtr results

** Shares of Shriram EPC Ltd  SHRI.NS  climb as much as 10.5
pct to 20.50 rupees, highest since June 1
    ** Construction engineering co on Thursday posted March-qtr
profit of 8.7 mln rupees on standalone basis, compared with a
loss of 122.5 mln rupees a year earlier  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN1T90LG
    ** Total expenses nearly halved to 1.48 bln rupees
    ** Co said it recently resolved a dispute with a customer in
Basra, Iraq because of which order worth $230 mln was restored

    ** Order will be executed by JV in partnership with an Iraqi
company over next 3 years 
    ** More than 358,000 shares change hands, compared with
30-day avg of 243,000
    ** As of Thursday, stock had fallen 41.9 pct this year
