ANNOUNCEMENT OF CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE FOR Q2 2023 INTERIM DIVIDEND

Lagos and London, 17(th) August 2023:  Seplat Energy PLC ("Seplat" or the
"Company"), a leading Nigerian independent energy company listed on both the
Nigerian Exchange Limited and London Stock Exchange, today confirms that the
below currency exchange rate is applicable in determining Q2 2023 interim
dividend to shareholders that will receive the dividend payment in Naira
(NGN):

Exchange Rate

1 USD = 759.86 NGN

The exchange rate for the Naira amounts payable was determined by reference to
the exchange rate applicable to the US dollar available on August 16, 2023.

Shareholders should refer to the Company's announcement on July 28, 2023 for
