** Shares of British space technology investment company Seraphim Space Investment Trust SSIT.L down 3.4% at 215p, among top losers on the FTSE samllcaps .FTSC index

** Co plans equity raise through placing and retail offer of new C shares at 100p per share for a total of 350 million pounds  ($473.94 million)

** Placing at 55% discount to SSIT'S last close of 222.5p

** Including session's moves, stock up about 85%
